This is a really good book. Loads of good info and hints from authors who actually work in the field and can attest to their advice in practice. Not a lot of brain-cramping either--understandable and well constructed. Subjects flow and build on one another in a logical and coherent way. Covers the gauntlet from terms, to equipment, to technique, to studio. Advice on all aspects of the podcast realm. A little dated by now, software-wise, but that should hardly be an issue. I maintain this book in my ready stock of references.
This book covers it all, in fact I used the information in chapter 5 to purchase all new studio gear. The book's recommendations on audio gear is right on the money! I know have a state of the art set up thanks to the advice in this book. If you want to be in podcasting, get this book you will learn somethng from it!I was already in podcating for over a year when I bought this book and it taught me many new things. If only I had this book in the beginning, I would have saved ton's of cash on my mics and audio gear.
