The first couple of times I read the title of this book, the words tripped me up because they didn't seem to go together. Don't pair dragon’s with life but rather life with witch. What is a life witch? In this creative world, a life witch is a witch who heals.We first meet Alex, the heroine, in the slums of the Undercity, a dark and dirty world of society’s poor that live a miserable existence beneath the surface of the planet. She is in prison, due to be executed in the morning for witchcraft. A woman she healed, saving from certain death, turned her in to the authorities. During the night, a wealthy man from above the surface, living on one of the Sky Isles, comes to her cell. He's looking for witches who heal. Witches are uncommon in general, as they are thrown in jail and killed when they are found out. The rarest type of witch is the life witch.As soon as Meridas, the wealthy man who is actually a shifter dragon, discovers that she is indeed a healing witch, he immediately brings her to his home Isle floating above the surface of the planet. A disease called Creeping Rot attacks beings who have magic. Meridas’s sister has this and is on the verge of death. Alex can pull the disease from the young woman, and it disintegrates almost as soon as it hits the air.Meridas takes Alex into his household as a servant, hoping she'll be able to help with other healing issues. He sees to her education and makes sure she is well fed. He is determined to find out more about her background because healing witches are so rare.What other oddities--medical and otherwise--will Alex face? Will her lineage be figured out? Will she and Meridas develop feelings for each other beyond servant and master?The book had some of the common issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage, but this did not distract the book.The author has created an interesting world of Haves and Have Nots, of strange objects and disease, and of troubled pasts and uncertain futures. The different types of people and magical beings were fascinating to read about and watch interact. I know this is book one, so I will be interested to see how the rest of the series works out.I received a free advance review copy, but this did not affect my review.

Alex had been abandoned as a baby and had survived how she could but found she could heal but when she healed the wrong person she was denounced as a witch. This resulted in her being imprisoned and awaiting execution.She is approached by Meridas an isle dweller who asks her to prove she can heal and when she does he bribes the guard and takes her to his home. They will also find love that will hit hard and fast. A wonderful beginning to a new world being opened up by Ms.Daniels. I really like the interplay between Alex and Meridas, but also Alex and the other people she encounters. Alex is without guile, now in a world filled with it. I am looking forward to this new series! What an amazing beginning to the Six Isles Witches and Dragon series. The Dragon's Life Witch starts it off with a bang.Alex is a Life Witch who has been arrested for healing people, all of sudden Meridas, a handsome man who's a dragon shows up needing her help. Alex is stubborn, beautiful, kind and spunky and Meridas... So hot and sexy and bound to protect those he loves and cares about. The chemistry between the two is hot and sizzling. What a great plot. There's plenty of action, suspense, humor and of course hot romances. I really enjoyed reading this book and couldn't put it down. A definite must read! This storyline is awesome. The characters are unique with awesome personalities. You will love this story.Alex is a spunky young woman who grew up as an orphan. She has a unique ability of healing. This gets her almost out to death. It seems she is what is known as a Life witch.Meridas is a sexy Dragon shifter. His sister is ill so he goes on search of a healing witch. He finds Alex in a prison about to be put to death. Meridas has her released to him. Thus he takes her to his home in the sky island. Alex manages to heal his sister Vash. Suggests Meridas marry Alex! Will Alex become a Dragons wife?You will love this super exciting,thrilling,funny,suspenseful,and steamy hot Dragon shifter Romance. This is a five star plus story.
