Perfect collection of the most significant Marian apparitions. I'd asked in some groups I was in if anyone knew of a single book with most of the approved apparitions and got no replies. Happily I stumbled upon this book in our church library but the print was small and went so far into the binding that I couldn't read it. This printing has a larger font and none of the other problems. I'm going to let my kids read it too. The copyright is old but the stories still read well and most are matter of fact presentations without a lot of interpretations. I also liked the TOC becuase it listed the place, the apparitions commonly used name and the year. It was easy to flip back and remind myself of the chronology. Great book to give to a generation that seems to have forgotten our Blessed Mother and her urgent requests to pray for the conversion of sinners.
That's exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want to read lengthy volumes on each apparition, but I wanted a solid account of each, especially the most important, recent, Church approved ones.And that is exactly what this book is. Yes, pictures would have been lovely, but not many artists can do Our Lady anything close to justice.It's difficult to imagaine anyone being able to read these factual, very touching accounts and not be moved to not only belief in them, but come away with a strong determination to do what the Blessed Virgin Mary asks of us all. Come back to the faith and live it! Very inspiring book.

Well written, informative yet easy to read. I would definitely recommend this book.
This is hands down the best book on appearances on earth by the Blessed Virgin Mary which I have ever read. It contains eight significant visions with each narrative written by an expert on that particular appearance. I first encountered this marvelous book while still in grade school when a parish priest recommended it to my mother. I am so glad it is still available for purchase to share with one another. I gave it as part of a confirmation gift, and it is not the first time I have done so.
This is a great book with several apparitions explained in some detail. Even my young daughter even love to listen.
I read this as a child and when I saw it again just had to have it.
This is a book I've read and re-read over and over again. I've also bought it as gifts for friends and family. Well worth the read! When I went to the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, I found that I actually knew more about Our Lady's appearance to Juan Diego than our Mexican guide did...all because of this wonderful book.
